TOMMY FURY’s dad has been supporting him on Love Island throughout the 2019 series on ITV2. In the final week, it is traditional for the contestants’ families to visit them in the villa. But who is John Fury - Tommy and his professional boxer brother Tyson Fury’s father?

Tommy Fury has made it to the final few episodes of Love Island alongside his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hughes. When the contestants reach this point of the show, traditionally their parents and family come into the villa to see them and meet their partners. Tommy’s dad John Fury is expected to come into the villa tonight (Sunday, July 28). Here’s what you need to know about him.

Who is Love Island’s Tommy and Tyson Fury’s father?

Tommy Fury’s dad is John Fury, who was also a professional boxer just like his son.

Also the father of heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury, John was known as ‘Gypsy John’ in his boxing days.

The professional fighter was born in Galway, Ireland in 1964 and worked his way up in the boxing world.

He begin fighting as a bareknuckle boxer before going on to have a successful professional career.

At his peak in the 1980s and 1990s, he beat WBO World Champion Henry Akinwande.

During his heavyweight career, John won eight of his 13 fights but lost his only title fight against Neil Malpass for the Central Area belt.

He was also one of the people who trained Tommy’s brother Tyson early in his career to becoming a British professional boxer.

According to The Sun, the former boxer know lives in Cheshire with his wife Amber.

He is expected to head into Love Island to support his son Tommy after confirming the news to Betfred on June 28.

He told the bookies after he was asked if he would go in: “Most definitely will do and they’ll know I’ve been there as well.

“I’m definitely going to be there and I’m not going to be quiet neither - I’ll let it all go.

“You’ll see the real John Fury and you’ll say ‘We didn’t know this fella existed, where’s this side of him come from?’”

Tommy’s half-brother is boxer Tyson but it has been confirmed that he won’t enter the villa tonight.

Tommy is currently one of the favourites to win Love Island after being coupled up with Molly-Mae since early on in the fifth series.

Ladbrokes currently place the pair at 8/13 to take away the £50,000 prize money.

The final of series five will be on tomorrow evening when fans will find out the answer.
